Earth Observation for the European Green Deal - The Match Made in Space

During this session, we discussed the relevance of Earth Observation (EO) in supporting the European Green Deal. EO can create powerful information feeds that can help decision makers, businesses, and citizens at large make better choices. EO has great potential to offer real insights into our planet, but is still largely untapped. Addressing some of these challenges can help the European community realize the full potential of EO and deliver concrete socio-economic benefits, particularly when leveraging EO assets (including data and technical expertise and capabilities). Not leveraging EO could mean missing monumental opportunities to use the best available tools in monitoring the rapidly changing environmental landscape—one that is shaping the future.
